Our KHES school counselor is Mrs. Kaleigh Dux.
Hello families and friends of Keller-Harvel Elementary School! My name is Mrs. Dux and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve our campus and community as the school counselor at KHES! Here is a little bit about me and my experiences! I began my teaching career in Irving ISD, where I taught 3rd and 4th grade. I then moved to Little Elm ISD and taught Kindergarten for one year before returning to my "sweet spot" of 4th grade! During my time teaching in LEISD, I began working on my master's degree in school counseling. I had come to learn that as much as I love education and teaching my students, I realized I could not be a successful teacher without first taking the time to understand my students' needs- socially and emotionally, and supporting those needs. This became even more evident while teaching through the COVID-19 pandemic and after. My passion for school counseling quickly became clear! This will be my fourth year as a school counselor, after starting my counseling career in Frisco ISD. I got married in May and moved to Saginaw which is what led my path here, to serve you and our community at Keller-Harvel! I am excited for an amazing school year and I look forward to having the opportunity to partner with you! I'll see you soon!
