Our KHES School Counselor is Ms. Emily Gilmore

 

Hello Keller-Harvel Elementary families and friends!

My name is Emily Gilmore, and I am thrilled to serve the Keller-Harvel community as your school counselor. I am excited to introduce myself and share a little about my background.

I began my educational career in Casper, Wyoming, where I taught 6th through 9th grade band and orchestra. I later moved to Texas and served as the assistant band director for the 6th through 12th grade band program in Shepherd ISD. After two years in Shepherd, I relocated to Fort Worth and spent the next 15 years in Fort Worth ISD. During that time, I served as the choir director at Benbrook Middle School before becoming the music specialist at Burton Hill Elementary, where I taught for 14 years.

In December 2025, I earned my Master of Education in School Counseling and began the next chapter of my career. I am honored to join Keller-Harvel Elementary and look forward to supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students while partnering with families and staff to help every child succeed.

Outside of school, I am the proud mom of three wonderful and very active children who keep me busy and smiling!

I am looking forward to an amazing school year and the opportunity to get to know each of you. Together, we can make this a successful and memorable year for our students.
